About the shop

Mayfair has two Lids, one upstairs and one downstairs, which confuses everyone the first time. The upstairs store is the one people write about: staff who know the stock, and an embroidery machine that will put a custom word or design on a fitted while you wait.

It’s a chain store, so the wall is mostly the current New Era run plus whatever the Bucks and Packers have going. Don’t expect deep vintage. Do expect your size to be in stock more often than not, and if it isn’t, ask them to check another store.

    The boys at the upstairs lids are good guys. Nothing but helpful, great attitudes and knew everything there was to know. Helped me out of a little pinch I had with the downstairs lids. The downstairs girls were ok too but not like the guys upstairs. Got a custom fitted hat made and the guy running the machine really helped with the font and design. Thanks again fellas! Cashier 601972 and his partner 3/24/24 rocked it.

    Had an entire rack of shirts that we wanted to buy 2 of. Aftwr making us wait 40 mins while they tried to ring it up then finally they said they'd hand enter it. I waited with 4 kids through this whole thing. Just for the manager to refuse the sale because it didnt scan and he wouldn't let the cashier who had already hand entered it finish sale.

    Agian this is after 40 mins of waiting in thwor store with 4 kids before a baseball game which is what we needed the shirts for.

    Extremely unorganized and unprofessional. They had 10+ of these shirts and they were not sale or clearance.

    Will never shop at a lids agian after this experience.
