Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently and to provide information to site owners. This Cookie Policy explains how Fitted Cap God uses cookies and similar technologies.
Cookies We Use
These cookies are necessary for the website to function properly. They include cookies that enable basic features like page navigation and access to secure areas. The website cannot function properly without these cookies.
WordPress session cookies — Used for site functionality and user sessions
fcg_consent — Remembers your analytics cookie choice (accept or decline) for 12 months
These cookies help us understand how visitors interact with our website by collecting and reporting information anonymously. This helps us improve our Site. If you are visiting from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, these cookies are not set until you choose Accept in the cookie banner. Elsewhere they are on by default and you can decline at any time.
Google Analytics — Tracks page views, session duration, bounce rate, and traffic sources. Data is anonymized and aggregated.
PostHog — First-party product analytics we use to see which pages, filters, and features get used so we can improve the catalog. It is not cross-site advertising tracking, and the data is never sold or shared for marketing. PostHog stores an anonymous visitor ID in a cookie named ph_<project-token>_posthog (mirrored in your browser’s local storage) for about one year, plus an opt-in/opt-out preference in local storage named __ph_opt_in_out_<project-token>. Data is hosted on PostHog Cloud in the United States. Session replay (screen recording) is turned off. If you are signed in to a Fitted Cap God account, PostHog identifies you only by an internal account number and your favorite-team selections, never by your name or email address. PostHog honors the Do Not Track browser setting.
When you click through to retailer websites, those sites may set their own cookies. These are not controlled by Fitted Cap God and are subject to the respective retailer’s cookie policies.
Managing Your Cookies
You can control and manage cookies in several ways:
Browser settings — Most browsers allow you to view, manage, and delete cookies through their settings. Check your browser’s help section for instructions.
Opt out of analytics — You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. To opt out of both Google Analytics and PostHog on this browser, visit any page on our Site with ?fcg_notrack=1 added to the address (for example fittedcapgod.com/?fcg_notrack=1). This sets a preference cookie that switches analytics off for that browser; ?fcg_notrack=0 switches it back on.
Cookie Settings — Use the Cookie Settings link in the footer of any page to change your choice at any time. Declining switches off both Google Analytics and PostHog for that browser.
Do Not Track — We respect Do Not Track (DNT) browser signals where technically feasible. PostHog does not record anything when DNT is enabled.
Please note that disabling certain cookies may impact your experience on our Site.
Updates to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The “last modified” date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised.
