Newly remodeled St. Pete Lids that does custom hats in about 15 minutes.
Lids at Tyrone Square in St. Petersburg was recently remodeled, and the reviews since are mostly about custom work. Tell them what you want on the side of the cap, they help pick the color and font, and it’s done in around 15 minutes.
It’s the closest real fitted wall for the St. Pete side of the bay. Service depends on who’s on shift; a couple of reviews describe staff who wouldn’t check other stores’ stock. Ask for the manager if you need something specific.
I stopped in yesterday in a huge hurry to grab a hat as a gift for the banker who is helping us put together a new loan…also happens to be a huge Yankees Fan. Alex, the manager at Lids saw that I was in a hurry and talked me through the perfect hat to get and then suggested that I put the name of our banker on it. He asked me for a quick description of this gentleman and was able to decide the ideal color and font. Alex had me in and out of the shop in 10 minutes with a personalized hat to get to my meeting… And the hat was a huge hit! Shout out to Alex and the Lids at Tyrone Square Mall.
I stopped in to get a gift for my young nephew. I know nothing about hats but the manager Alex hooked me up! We found the perfect hat and he said he could customize it for me. I had no idea Lids did that! Within 15 minutes I had a cool custom hat for my nephew ( who absolutely loved it) thank you Alex . I look forward to creating more custom gifts in the future !
I was in the store on 2/26 mid afternoon and received poor service. I was told by one employee who was merely racking hats that there was no way for any Lids employee to see what was in stock at other stores, something I knew to be untrue. I then asked if I could be provided a list of the phone numbers of other stores and I was told by the same employee to “goto google.”
Well, I’m here at Google…
Amazing customer service from the management Alex was a joy great all around experience and a beautiful new store definitely will be back again😊.
