Great Northern Lids with hat people behind the counter and some hard-to-find stock.
The Lids at Great Northern in North Olmsted gets more love from hat people than most mall stores. Reviewers keep naming the staff and talking about spending an hour chatting caps with them, which is not a sentence you usually read about Lids.
The stock runs deeper than you’d guess, too. Out-of-market teams (there’s apparently a real Rockies following here) and the odd limited piece you can’t get anymore. There’s also a Locker Room by Lids in the same mall if you need jerseys.
I stop in this lids location to get some great deals on some hats for my favorite baseball teams. Pictured in this review are 3 Colorado Rockies hats that I have bought from this location in the past and there is a huge Rockies fan base here in Cleveland, OH. One of the hats pictured is a promotional hat that is the Rockies logo in league with the bubble gum brand Big League Chew and their ground ball grape flavor. I bought that hat on a special sale price and also had my discount on my account. The hat's price dropped down to $5.00 and with my discounts and everything else- I paid about $2-$3 with change. I went home from this location a very happy camper, as they say, because I went home with some great gear- plus I love the Big League Chew's Ground Ball Grape flavor and now I get to celebrate not only one of my favorite National League MLB teams- but my favorite bubble gum brand as well. The other two hats pictured are 25th Anniversary Colorado Rockies hats- one in autumn/fall background colors and the other is the standard colors for the Rockies team in a special edition with black brim. I would definitely give this Lids location your business because you never know what you will find on a good day. And me, being a die hard Rockies fan- I found a lot of great gear here and I'm sure that you will be able to for your favorite teams as well.
Stopped in to get a Guardians hat. Andrew was intelligent and kind. He was able to answer all of my questions, and we ended up chatting about hats and sports for an hour. It was the best treatment I've received at any store. If you're looking for hats and high quality customer service, this is the place to go!
Staff was friendly. Lots of hats. My husband likes to go here because some of tge hats are unique & he doesn't see anyone with a hat like his. Store was clean & not crowded.
Always a pleasure working with good people on finding the right hat for you. Tait was an awesome dude.
